Guilt and wavering convictions

Mission: Sunnydale, A new Darkness
Location: Streets of Sunndale

Summers had seen the afternoon news casting of the house she'd set on fire. Having scouted the area, the vampire hunter had known that vampires lived within. There was no doubt about that. The Watchers had trained her to know all the signs. However, the house next to it had been someone's home. Summers hadn't meant for that house to catch fire as well.

The 16-year-old girl frowned wondering if she had used too much accelerant on the vampire nest and it had caused it to spread further than she had planned? The accelerant was one that the council had created a little went a long way. She hadn't used more than the council had told her to. Yet, an innocent family had been trapped in her fire. Summers closed her eyes and shook her head. When she had reported in her watcher had told her that this was a war against the vampires and other supernatural beings and that casualties were apart of war.

Unfortunately, Summers had been made to fight. She was the council's warrior and even if she didn't like some of their methods she was helping people. She's been killing Vampires and demons since she was 10-years-old. She didn't know any other way of life. The sun was setting she needed to get to work. Turning away from the storefront, where she had watched the afternoon news. She hadn't moved from that spot since it had aired.

She had seen the signs, the omens in the area, a demon would be trying to rise tonight at the Hellmouth, Her destination was the school basement. She had time though so she went 'shopping' for a new sword to help kill the demon Dzoavits a demon long ago banished as it would steal the sun and kidnap children. If she was to prevent this demon from remaining she would need to act quickly. She had some time though and could plan out which weapon to get. A blade of pure silver with a blessing power would be enough to send Dzoavits back to hell. Though it would not kill the demon completely just prevent him from coming to this plane of existence.
