Mission: Sunnydale, A new Darkness
Location: Sunnydale woods
Timeline: After Tremor in the force

Summers trip to Sunnydale had been quiet and uneventful. However, As she took her first step onto the newly returned town of Sunnydale California she sensed that there was a demon hanging out around the bus station. She looked around, spotting someone who was looking at her as if having seen a ghost before turning and trying to leave as if they hadn't noticed each other. The young girl moved silently and light on her feet following the demon out of the area. She had no bags or items other than the clothing on her back and the weapons on her person.

She waited until she had followed him away from the foot traffic of other people before pulling the dagger from her boot so she was armed and able to defend herself or kill her target. Summers had been told not to be noticed by anyone in Sunnydale, Especially Buffy Summers and Rupert Giles, not that she knew who they were. However, Summers' was tempted to at least look upon this Buffy Summers who's last name was the same as what they called her. She did not know if her name was her first or her last because all they ever called her was Summers. Shaking her head she focused on the task at hand.

Following the demon down the alleyway she wondered again why he was running from her rather than attacking her. Frowning she scowled herself for considering it. Her job was to kill the demon not question why it wasn't attacking her. Summers had studied a map of Sunnydale on her way here so she took a turn left then a right that put her in front of the demon. Literally bumping into the demon with folds all over his body.

He yelled and jumped back before Summers could get in the killing blow. "Come on Buffy I don't know where Spike is and I didn't even know you were back in town, seriously I thought we were good I mean I helped protect your sister that time." The demon started rambling on and stuttering.

Summers cocked her head to the side looking at him confused wondering why he called her by that name. "Your a demon, Aren't you?" She asked arching one elegantly shaped brow. "Why do you speak as if you and the slayer are friends?" The young girl asked with that quizzical brow still up.

"Wait! your not?" the demon's eyes widened as he backed away hands up as if in surrender.

Summers frowned never having met a demon like this one. Well not since she was ten years old. he wasn't attacking, he wasn't running either though and he was backing away as if that would save his life. Her own face changed slightly in her anger to that of the vampire causing the demon before her to shriek a sound into the night at the change.

"Shit." She muttered that was a new development, to be honest. normally her face didn't change unless she was hungry. She hadn't yet managed to get control over it either, much to her disappointment and that of her watcher. Speaking of which she knew her watcher would be around here somewhere. "I'm hungry." She shrugged why not. She jumped on the demon as it turned to flee and sank her fangs into its wrinkly neck to feed.

Though for some reason when she let him drop she could still hear his heartbeat. Did she not drain him enough to kill him? Why wasn't she killing him now? "If your still alive, I would stay still for a while, else my watcher might just finish what I started." She said in a voice only he would hear. Unsure why she couldn't bring herself to kill him. She moved on to find an adversary that would actually fight her back. She was disappointed in herself though she never left a demon alive before.
